Wush Wush coffee is an extraordinary treasure in the world of specialty coffees

It is a rare and exclusive varietal, cherished for its low yield and extraordinary craftsmanship.

Originally from Ethiopia, this exotic coffee is now cultivated in the highlands of Ibagué, Tolima, Colombia, at elevations over 5,700 feet.

Produced in collaboration with farmer Argemiro Hernández Orjuela, each bean is handpicked and processed with precision using a washed method combined with prolonged, controlled fermentation in airtight containers. These meticulous techniques unlock a vibrant flavor profile of tropical fruits, floral aromas, and subtle spices.

Meticulous cultivation

The rarity of Wush Wush lies in its low-yield production and the meticulous cultivation it requires. Unlike more common coffee varieties, Wush Wush is highly selective in the conditions it thrives in, demanding high altitudes, nutrient-rich volcanic soils, and expert care.

Grown in the lush mountains of Tolima, this coffee benefits from an ideal microclimate that allows its vibrant flavors to fully develop. However, the delicate nature of the Wush Wush plant means that only small quantities can be harvested each year, making it an exceptionally rare find.

To highlight its bright and refined flavor profile, our Wush Wush coffee undergoes a fully washed process with prolonged, controlled fermentation in airtight containers.

This meticulous method involves carefully removing the outer cherry and thoroughly washing away the mucilage before drying.

The extended fermentation enhances the coffee’s complexity, creating a clean, vibrant cup that accentuates the natural floral and fruit-forward characteristics. With crisp acidity, delicate sweetness, and a silky mouthfeel, this process ensures that every nuance of Wush Wush’s extraordinary flavor shines through.

an exclusive experience
Wush Wush from Ibagué, Tolima, is an experience few have the chance to enjoy. Due to its scarcity and the precise conditions needed to cultivate it, only a limited amount of this extraordinary coffee is available each harvest. Those who appreciate the artistry of specialty coffee will find in Wush Wush a rare opportunity to explore a flavor unlike any other
